Boutique staffing company seeking experienced cooks to work various events throughout the city
Events take place at different locations and times
Must have prior experience working in the event industry
Must be Servsafe certified
Two levels/positions open:
Short-Order Cook:
Entry-level cook with strong work ethic.
Must be professional, energetic, organized, punctual & reliable.
Ideal candidate may be in culinary school or may have just graduated from culinary school.
Cooks must assist with plating or displaying food, as directed by Chef or Captain.
Tasks may include basic culinary skills, such as washing, peeling, chopping, cutting, plating, and light cooking.
Strong knowledge of prep and experience in event execution for events is a plus.
Cook:
-Candidates must have excellent cutting skills, held similar positions in catering companies for at least 2 years.
-Must be professional, energetic, organized, punctual & reliable.
-Experience in both prep and event execution for high-end catered events i.e. Weddings, corporate cocktail receptions etc.
-Able to transport, prepare and cook food according to the finalized catering plan/menu.
-Comfortable working in specific stations such as carving station, shucking oysters, etc. Or the kitchen line i.e. Saute chef, fry cook, pastry chef, and grill cook.
