Hello! My wife and I just put our White Poplar to rest after 25 years. Should have parted ways much earlier. We have lost our shade! But now we must at least save face and restore respectability and beauty. Need your help for both design and project execution. White Poplar removed– yard filled with roots and suckers– Most likely yard will need to be tilled to remove suckers and roots. We are looking to plant one large tree (ie Elm) and perhaps a smaller Red Bud. We would like a rock/boulder formation over the previous trunk locations with perennials and mulch. It is undetermined what the best way to complete yard/grass would be as we will not be irrigating for example sod. If this is a job you believe you can complete and have the equipment to complete the tasks then we are open for conversation. We would like to see several of your current projects and speak to a couple of past clients. Look forward to hearing from you. If you have an idea of general cost just by looking at photo perhaps that might save us all a little time- 1. Prep approximately 25 x 30 space by tilling/grinding to remove large roots and suckers. 2. Prep area with quality soil for future grass etc 3. Deliver and setup 3-5 larger boulder rocks (see photo for generic size) for garden area located over trunk, provide cedar mulch, and prep dirt. 4. Provide #25 size Elm Tree 5-10 ft ($250-$500), and plant 5. Provide Red Bud Tree- $150 range and plant 6. Sod area (we will assume the more expensive route vs seed) 7. TBD- might also have to grind area on other side of lawn near catalpa tree as that has same issue. Also if you enlarge picture you will see the general layout and idea of potential rock formation.
