Qualifications: • Experience and demonstrated ability to perform light-moderate maintenance and operation of church facilities. Minimum of 2 years’ experience performing such part time work for other churches or synagogues. • Physical ability for light to heavy work (e.g., lifting, carrying, climbing, storing) • Knowledge and/or willingness to learn basic procedures for the use and maintenance of audio and video equipment • Flexible schedule • Skill in communication and collaboration with other staff members, visitors and church members Position Summary: Prepare facilities for worship and church events. Prepare facilities for non-church events, as deemed necessary by Supervisor. Maintain the aesthetic appearance and safety of the facilities through tasks not performed by outside contractors and volunteers. Perform other building and grounds tasks not performed by contracted services, Ascension’s Property Committee and/or church members. Time commitment approximately 10 hours per week--$13.00/per hour. Flexible schedule. • Additional stipend for weddings and memorials.
