Hand washing station operator

Jobs

Seattle WA

Description

I am opening a business where I provide support services to wildland/forest fires. Firefighters are stationed in central camps with business providing services from hand washing stations, to portable showers and laundry units. My company will be concentrating on providing hand washing trailers (see attached pictures). I am recruiting drivers/operators, that will respond to these fires and staff these trailers for up to four weeks at a time. Each fire is different and varies in duration, with each activation averaging out about two weeks. Duties include, but are not limited to, ensuring cleanliness of the unit, operational readiness, and safety. The candidate must be available on a short notice. Because of this requirement, this position is perfect for retired individuals, looking for extra income during summer through early fall. This is not a full time job and no hours are guaranteed. All activations are based on a rotation list and amount of fires in the northwest areas. Wet and cooler summers, will result in few activations. Hot and dry summers will result in multiple activations. Driver/operator will remain with the unit throughout deployment of the unit. Driver will also sleep in the unit. Must have a pickup truck and be able to tow the trailer. Basic mechanical aptitude is required, in order to troubleshoot and solve minor leaks and issues. Salary - projected daily rate of $200. Paid weekly. All meals and snacks are provided at no additional cost. Please note that this job does not provide health insurance/benefits. Please forward all inquiries to [email protected]
