Hey! I’m fully vaccinated and looking for a band to start gigging with ASAP! Originals preferred, but down for covers. (~~Note: I posted here a little over a month ago and had a lot of great groups reach out. If you’re seeing this and you’ve already contacted me, it doesn’t mean I’m not interested! I’m just still looking for that *perfect* fit.) Some info on me: I’m first and foremost a singer, but I can also play keys if you need. I have some production and songwriting skills as well! I’m a pretty versatile singer— Pop, rock, blues, R&B, indie, soul, you name it. As for range, I can sing basically anything short of, like, Journey. (NOTE: A few metal bands reached out to me last time. Let me do that here briefly. (NOTE: if you have a group that doesn’t fit this description, please still reach out!! I’m not very picky; I just wanted to be more clear about my goals.) My Ideal Situation: - I’m pretty ambitious and I’d like to start working on those ambitions. Ultimately I’d love to find a group that wants to grow together, eventually tour, and hopefully even more. Music is what I want to do with my life and I want to do it full time. I’m still unemployed due to the pandemic, so I have no shortage of time and energy to dedicate to this endeavor. - Because of that, I’d ideally like to be doing original tunes. I have nothing against covers though, especially in the short term to make it easier to get gigs and/or build a following. (I can definitely help on this front: I’ve demonstrated a repeated ability to go viral online. See footnote below for details on that.)* - I’m 24, and I would ideally like to find people of a similarly youthful persuasion. - A note on genre— As a writer I find myself most excited in a sort of alt-pop/indie space, (maybe with some psych rock influence). You can get a pretty good idea of what that might look like by listening to my most recent single, which I described as “like Joywave wrote a song with Daniel Caesar... if it was interrupted halfway through by Led Zeppelin” (linked above). I would love to maybe get some more R&B in there as well. I still have some experimenting to fully find “my sound” and I’d like the room to do that experimentation! Lol ________________________________________ *FOOTNOTE: Since my most recent single release, I've had some degree of viral success online. Most impressive is my TikTok [https://www.tiktok.com/@itspatflynn/], for which 3 of the last 6 videos I uploaded got at least 29k views (and one has well over half a million). I've had a similar (albeit slightly lesser) level of success on Youtube [https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCsn5jh070v20EaNj-QA5yjg], where one video got nearly 150k views, and a couple others have gotten over 5k. I know those aren't world-beating numbers by any means, but I think it demonstrates a solid potential for growth-- I didn't upload my first TikTok until January 1st of this year, and I've already amassed just over 3500 followers. Nothing insane, but nothing to sneeze at, either.
