Description
1 year old in July. Male border collie, intact. He had abca papers but we no longer have them.
I hate parting with him. He’s one of the best dogs I’ve had. Crate trained, excellent leash manners, gentle and sweet, doesn’t get on furniture, doesn’t jump, loves to play and cuddle. Has been around horses, wanted to work them like sheep but with correction he left them alone.
He just needs more room in his downtime. I can’t stand watching him be miserable. We jog 2 miles a day, he runs outside in the pasture on our 3 acres, but our neighbors… well they’ve made it their personal mission to flatten any dog they see near (not on) the road and the police won’t do anything about it. We built a wooden fence about an acre big, dog jumps it. other neighbor started feeding him scraps so he’s refusing dog food. Put up an electric barrier, he cleared it, put up 5 more electric barriers, he jumps anyway and will take the shock to get over. We put him on a long stake and tether in the yard, he wound it around until he couldn’t move, we put the tether on a tree, he tied himself up like a calf.
We’re at our wits end and our boy looks miserable. He knows the neighbors will give him scraps so he hardly touches his food and tries to escape, causing some weight loss. We love him but he deserves better. Rehoming fee four hundred. I paid nine. If you message me asking for the fee or why I’m parting with him (aka didn’t read any of the listing) I won’t respond, he isn’t the dog for you. I want him to go to an amazing home that cares about him.
Please note he has shed off his winter coat so he’s not as fluffy as the snow pictures.
