Of the 12 tours this June-September, a whopping 8 are brand new or heavily revised. (See https://pejepscothistorical.org/events/summer-walking-tours for full descriptions.) SELECT FROM THE FOLLOWING EVENT DATES. EACH TOUR LIMITED TO 20. June 27 – Lincoln Street, led by Shannon Gilmore. July 11 – Women of Brunswick: Famous and Lesser Known, led by Candace Kanes. July 18 – TBA July 25 – Merrymeeting Park & Humphrey’s Shipyard, led by Chris Gutscher. August 1 – Brunswick’s Sears Kit Houses, led by Aimée Keithan. August 8 – One Topsham Hillside, 9,000 Years of History, led by Bruce Bourque and Fred Koerber. August 15 – The History and Natural Environment of the Town Commons, led by Jym St. Pierre. August 22 – Le Petit Pont: Life and Work by the Androscoggin, led by Candace Kanes. August 29 – Opera, Nuns, & Bodybuilders: The Wild & Wonderful History of Oak Street, led by Lin Maria-Riotto. Sept 12 – Chamberlain’s Bowdoin, led by John Cross. Sept 19 – New Meadows Cemetery and Lives from the 1920s, led Barbara Desmarais. Sept 26 – Harpswell’s Auburn Colony, Ed Phinney (PHC members only). Pejepscot History Center is a non-profit, educational organization charged with preserving the collective heritage of Brunswick, Harpswell, and Topsham. The Society owns and operates the Joshua L. Chamberlain House Museum and the Skolfield-Whittier House, both of which are open to the public Memorial Day-Columbus Day.
