Looking for a skilled drummer with knowledge of vintage drum sounds and technique for a new project heavily rooted in 1966–69 British and American rock'n'roll, especially UK mod/psychedelic a la the Pretty Things, Creation, Kaleidoscope, the Factory, the Kinks, the Yardbirds, etc.; US garage and heaviness i.e. the Stooges, MC5, Love, 13th Floor Elevators; as well as more melodic stuff like the Beatles and the Byrds and later stuff like Spacemen 3. Punk aggression mixed with subtlety and songwriting, from fuzz freakouts to gentler sounds... with an emphasis on strong, 3 minute songs rather than endless jams. We are a guitar player and bassist who both sing; know tons of people and have connections to venues, labels, etc... Age not important; good taste, dedication, and desire to play are.
