Jon E. Boothe Lulu's Downstairs Presents 18+ Jon E. Boothe An Evening with Jon E. Boothe Doors 7PM Show 8PM Jon E. Boothe is an american singer-songwriter. Born in Mesa, Arizona, raised in the music capitol: Nashville, Tennessee, where he was heavily influenced by his Uncle and Aunt (both who are working singers and musicians; both of great talent and caliber), where he was shown a variety of music ranging from old blues standards, rock n' roll, rock n' soul, country and western, contemporary rock, jazz, roots, just to name a few. One of his favorite classical guitarists, from the romantic period, is Francisco Tarrega. Country and western music has always been a "home-base" for Boothe since he was a kid growing up with his grandparents. Growing up he would hear the soulful music coming from the radio inside his grandmother's beauty shop, where he would spend most of his days at that time, listening to many of the Stax and MoTown artists such as Marvin Gaye, Blues Brothers, Otis Redding, Staple Singers, Isaac Hayes, Sam & Dave, Booker T. and The Mg's, Carla Thomas, William Bell, and many more. At age 9 he played alto saxophone in grade school until he gave it up in freshman year. At the age of 15 he moved to Wyoming where he began teaching himself guitar, piano, harmonica and different singing techniques. It's there where he started writing his own songs, inspired and influenced by the likes of Cash, Dylan, Beatles, Stones, Paul Simon, John Prine, Robert Johnson, Patton, T.S. Eliot, Edgar Allen Poe, Smokey Robinson, Rimbaud, just to name a few musical artists, bands and poets/authors. Since then, Boothe has played in many diverse cover bands, original bands, and an eclectic mix of musical bands ranging from jazz, classic rock cover bands, blues bands, reggae bands, soul bands, country bands, old time pop bands, until he decided to branch out on his own and start his own band(s), which was Lonnie Dilan and The Wandered, and now his new band: The NightWatch. Jon E. Boothe has written countless songs. A songwriter of eclectic tastes and versatilities. He has written songs for weddings, he's also written jingles for different companies. One notable being for Bon Ton's Cafe, which is located in Old Colorado City, CO. Currently Jon E. Boothe and The NightWatch are one of the busiest and sought after musical groups in Colorado. Jon E.
