This is a 1 session class geared towards families who have had a previous unmedicated birth, first time out-of-hospital families or families This is a 1 session class geared towards families who have had a previous unmedicated birth, first time out-of-hospital families or families who have taken a comprehensive childbirth prep class elsewhere. We will focus on what birth in a birth center looks like, comfort measures and what to expect in the event of a transfer. We will process previous births to figure out what worked and what did not. This class would also be appropriate for home birthing clients if it is not their first birth. Both client and a birth partner must attend by 36 weeks but no earlier than 28 weeks. Payment is due at time of registration. Please find childcare for any younger children So you can focus and get all the information. One ticket gets you and your birth partner in. Please bring a snack and water to prepare for a 3 hour class. Class will be on Zoom. My name is Melissa Force and my passion is helping families and individuals prepare for childbirth. I started this journey in 2010 as a DONA certified doula working with teens and eventually landing in a Colorado freestanding birth center in 2011. I began teaching childbirth prep classes in 2012, initially using methods from my Birthing From Within training and then over the years, slowly building my own style of education. In my classes, the focus is on… well, everything. My business is named Holistic Childbirth Education because it is the whole being that needs to prepare for labor and birth. Physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. I make sure I provide a safe space and evidence based information in my classes. No questions are off limits and I try to make every class fun and engaging.I look forward to meeting you and working with you to have the best birthing experience you can have, and hopefully have some fun in the process.
