Book a guided tour and learn about the Townsend family home and its inhabitants during the Revolutionary War and the Victorian era. Experience the Townsend family home, discover the lives of the Townsend family and the lives of those they enslaved, and learn all about the Revolutionary War and the Culper Spy Ring. Raynham Hall Museum includes many period rooms detailing daily life in the 18th and 19th centuries. We are excited to welcome you to our newly restored 19th century servants quarters and our new education center including augmented reality and an interactive features! Tickets for guided tours of the museum will guarantee timed museum entry on the day of booking with slots available at 1:00 and 3:00 pm. Tours are projected to last approximately 60 to 90 minutes and include a tour of the house and a self-guided visit to our exhibition hall. In advance of booking your visit, please review our visitor guidelines and procedures listed on our website which will help orient you before you arrive and ensure that you get the most out of your museum experience. The mission of Raynham Hall Museum is to enable visitors to the nearly 300-year-old Townsend family home in Oyster Bay to experience what it meant to be prominent merchants and heroic patriots, and to become engaged in the worlds of espionage, domestic life, and the decorative arts.
