Highgarden Entertainment's first installment of a four-part series on the re-imagining of the Jean Cocteau Cinema.
At the first Highgarden Hangout on July 10th, attendees will be treated to Jean Cocteau’s famous organic Amish popcorn with real butter in the lobby, followed by the discussion in the theater. A post-event reception will be held after the discussion.
Guest speakers will include Native American social activists LaDonna Harris and Laura Harris, District 40 Representative Roger Montoya, and comedian and musician Carlos Medina, whose popular live show will return to the Jean Cocteau later this summer. Attendees and the broader Santa Fe community will be invited to share ideas, questions and comments through surveys; the results will be presented at the final event on August 1st.
Each event in this series will feature a panel discussion with local community leaders, artists, and industry professionals. Topics of discussion will include the future of art and entertainment at the Jean Cocteau, and the future of film and tourism in New Mexico.
This is a FREE event. Seating is limited. Tickets required.
