Join us for an evening in support of our local first responders with guest speaker Amber Oberheim. Join us for an outdoor picnic at the home of Britt and Laurie Brown in Mt. Zion, Illinois. Proceeds from sponsorships and ticket sales will benefit both the Peacemaker Project 703 & Decatur Area Critical Incident Stress Management Team which supports our Macon County First Responders. Our guest speaker, Amber, is the wife of late Champaign Police officer, Chris Oberheim, who was recently killed in line of duty while responding to a domestic violence call. Amber and her 3 daughters started Peacemaker Project 703 in his honor to raise awareness and support for local law enforcement. The Decatur Area Critical Incident Stress Management Team is made up of peer support members and mental health professionals trained to provide education and emotional support to first responders in Macon County that are exposed to psychological stressors inherent to the job. Sponsorship directly supports our Macon County First Responders and the Peacemaker Project 703.
