“Pieces of Now” Exclusive Tour - Engagement with an artist - Dialogue about the events that occurred last year During the summer of 2020 storefront murals demanding racial justice started showing up in Downtown Greensboro. Understanding that history was being made the Greensboro Historical Museum preserved the murals. Today the “Pieces of Now” exhibit features nearly 20 pieces of street art created as part of the summer protests, along with photos, objects and video interviews with artists and organizers. The exhibition also invites the community to share experiences, stories and objects related to the protests, pandemic and economic crisis. White Voices Against Racism is inviting you to an exclusive viewing of the exhibit. An artist have been invited to share their views and experience creating the murals. Following the tour attendees will have a brief dialogue related to their experience last summer, viewing the murals now and how the two experiences impact them today. All of WVAR event’s are FREE.
