Our Conscious Mind tells us that we have made the decisions to work in this or that job, have a family, complete a project, serve in the community, develop our spiritual self, have an exercise program and healthy eating habits, etc. We consciously understand the struggles and what it will take as we accept these life challenges. However, our Subconscious Mind says, “Forget it. You don’t need to do that. Take a break….or you can’t do that, it is too hard, or you don’t have what it takes, etc…” Our Subconscious Mind tries to trick us into thinking that it is in charge…and often we let it think that. For Kundalini Yoga & Meditation classes this month at SIDEWALK CAFE in Pasadena, we will focus on energizing your whole body/mind system. Just as we give our cars a “tune-up” and maintenance to keep them running properly, we need to make efforts for our bodies and endlessly working minds, so that we can keep up and work beautifully as our mind asks us to!
Christina Sirgun has been teaching kundalini yoga for 15 years. She was trained and certified as a Kundalini yoga teacher with the Kundalini Research Institute at Golden Bridge Yoga. She designs curriculum to bring yoga and meditation tools and techniques to students in a school setting. Christina Sirgun currently teaches Kundalini adult classes and workshops in Altadena, Pasadena, Glendale and Los Angles areas.
