Come celebrate the 4th of July at the historic Ard Godfrey House in Chute Square Park, Minneapolis. Musical Performance at 2:00 pm. (Bring a lawn chair if you wish.)Free guided tours of the 1849 Godfrey House with docents in 1850s period costume.Learn the story of the first U.S. flag raised in the town of St. Anthony in 1850.Face painting and temporary tattoos for kids.The Ard Godfrey House is partially wheelchair accessible on the main floor, but has the restrictions of a historic home. Call Muriel at 612-781-8791 two weeks in advance to make an arrangement for guests with special needs. The Woman’s Club of Minneapolis is a 501(c)(3) community organization located in a stunning Italianate, six-story mansion overlooking Loring Park in downtown Minneapolis. The Club is a gathering place for active, interesting women and men of all ages and backgrounds.
