Hello! If you live in the deep south metro of the Twin Cities, in Rochester MN or anywhere in between, this could be a good fit! I am a 1099 independent contract driver for a courier service doing a specialized delivery run near the Twin Cities. The round trip takes approx. 3 hours (give or take your starting location). The position starts at (roughly) 9:30-10PM in Grand Meadows MN and the drop off is in Inver Grove Heights at roughly 11:30pm - 12AM. Now seeking two steady "Back Up Drivers" able to take over my route when I am not available. This could be a day or two here and there, or it could be a longer term thing where I may not be available for upwards of a month. At some point in history, I may be ready to move on from the route and this would put you in line to take it over on a regular basis. The route is Mon Through Sat (no Sunday) so it is 6 days a week. I already have some times coming up in July, August and September that I need a driver to fill. If you happen to live in Inver Grove Heights, this would be perfect on a fill-in basis! This is a self employed independent contractor role, 1099. You use your own vehicle and are responsible for your own expenses. There will be an insurance requirement for your vehicle. (does not need to be DOT or commercial) The pay is $175 day. This would be ON CALL and if you accept the role there are no excuses - you have to be 100% reliable. There will be a vetting process including a zoom meeting with me and a background check done by the courier company I am working with. The 1099 would be coming from my company. If you have a reliable car that gets great mileage and don't mind making a mid evening run to make some $$, this might be a perfect occasional job for you.
