I know you can reclaim the r22 from an air conditioner... but is there ever a way of knowing if the r22 is no good? I have heard that a burned out compressor can ruin the refrigerant. I'm not going to vent the refrigerant into the air, I'd rather reuse it. If it's no good, I'll give it to an HVAC guy who brings it in for recycling. Your feed back is very welcome Thanks!
