With the closure of public lands due to fire restrictions, I find myself having to grudgingly hang up the off road sport motorcycle, recover from some nagging injuries and after a long layoff return, temporarily, to music. I'm an older 50's, mediocre at best, bass player. Most of what I played in the past was 60's-90's rock, Motown and 70's dance club music that could be played with guitar, bass and drums. I've played in few few pretty good bands in days past in spite of my musical mediocrity. I'm not Stanley Clarke, Les Claypool or Esperanza Spaulding. If you're looking for that and have "industry contacts" look else where and use them. I'm pretty sure Van Halen didn't get Sammy Hagar from Craigslist. Given the above, I'm available most evenings for engagements in the east valley. I have decent equipment and reliable transportation. I have a good day job. This is just something to do for fun. I don't care if you are users and abusers. If so, I don't partake these days. If you're having trouble finding someone to make low notes or just encountering a plethora of flakes, reach out. If I say I'll be there I will show up on time as ready as I'll ever be. I can stay on until you find someone better. -Rachel Nevada
