Arborist- Assists in all aspects of tree trimming and removal projects. You must be an experienced arborist and be able to work on a crew in a safe and efficient manner. An ideal candidate for this position will have five or more years of experience. We provide expert level services and professional quality which has built an outstanding reputation for our company. You will be expected to maintain this level of quality. And while production is important, safety comes first above all else. REQUIREMENTS: Extensive rope and saddle experience to include expert knowledge in ascending and rigging methods, integrity, a good attitude, accountability, punctuality, attention to detail, be able to lift 80lbs on a regular basis, good driving record for the last three years, good mechanical skills, ability to maintain and service equipment, knowledge of tree identification and diseases, ability to safely and efficiently run a chainsaw. Knowledge of ISA and OSHA standards are a big plus. If there are jobs that are beyond your ability, you will be expected to work as a groundman on that job. You may also be asked to grind stumps and bid jobs occasionally. The benefits: We are a smaller company, so you will not be just a number, but a valued employee. We reward hard work and honesty with fair pay and substantial raises. If the crew performs well throughout the week, they all get taken out to lunch on Friday. All gear will be provided. Any special gear that the climber may desire to improve production will be purchased by the company. Unpaid vacation may be taken during the first year. After the first year, we will pay one week of vacation and 250$ towards boots. Some overtime may also be available but not required on a regular basis unless there is widespread storm damage. We rarely work weekends. We believe time to rest and spend with the family is very important. Workers are welcome to do side jobs on their own time as long as the work does not come directly from working for us. Groundman- Needs to have a drivers license,and some experience with a saw and roping. We would prefer someone that has the desire to climb and learn to be a professional arborist.
