Greetings! I moved to Indianapolis last summer and am looking to get back to playing again. I'm in my mid-40s and have many years of experience. I stepped away from active gigging for several years due to tendonitis and career obligations and have been working to get my chops back. I went to school for music, have a jazz background, and have experience playing a variety of styles. As a drummer, I try to serve the music with a tasteful style and a solid groove and pocket. I'm happy to play to a click and can read as well. Ideally, I'd like to find some likeminded folks that want to play out a few times a month, perhaps do some recording, and put together a great set. Originals or covers are fine and I think my style would mesh best with pop, Americana, blues, jazz, world music, and acoustic/roots music. I'm also an experienced audio engineer and have a nice recording setup at home for working on tracks and new releases. My interests are flexible and would include joining an established group, session work, a church gig, or even just getting together and playing some tunes. I'm positive, easygoing, and have no bad habits. I'm also fully vaccinated and would appreciate the same. I tend to mesh best with folks of like mind (generally liberal, upbeat, funny, down to earth, etc.) and am fine with rehearsing.
