NEW YORK CITY — A gang member carried out a shocking daylight Bronx shooting that narrowly — and miraculously — missed two children, according to a report.
Michael Lopez, 27, faces charges in connection to the June 17 shooting, the New York Post first reported. Police sources told the Post that Lopez is a member of the "Make It Happen Boyz" street gang.
His arrest follows widespread outrage over the caught-on-video shooting.

Then, in a heart-stopping matter of seconds, the man runs into and becomes entwined with two young children in his path, video shows. The shooter fires off several shots at close range as the man, still entangled with the children, tries to get away.
Somehow, none of the shots hit the children. The man suffered gunshot wounds to his back and legs, police said.
