Crescent Lake Monthly Clean up Friends of Crescent Lake (FOCL) is leading Clean Our Urban Environment (CLUE) Day, a watershed cleanup around Crescent Lake in St. Petersburg and we want your help! Restore America’s Estuaries has provided a grant to FOCL to help support the restoration and clean-up of Crescent Lake. The clean-up will reduce the debris load to Crescent Lake and ultimately to Tampa Bay. Your help on CLUE Day will assist us in identifying sources of debris within the watershed and guide current and future lake clean-up efforts. This project is part of a larger coordinated regional effort to remove trash from our waters. We continue to see significant volumes of trash entering the Lake which poses a risk to wildlife and detracts from the beauty of Crescent Lake Park. We need at least 30 volunteers on each day, and preferably many more, to achieve good results.
