Heavy Blues / Stoner / Prog Rock Power Trio Project - Seeking Drummer

Howdy Chicagoland! Looking to start a dynamic power trio project that incorporates elements of blues, stoner rock and progressive elements, that also allows each member to freely contribute parts and ideas to help fill out the sound and repertoire of songs. Looking for a drummer and bassist / synth that know their way around their instrument and are capable of jamming and improvising to help write tunes together. Synth in place would be neat, but ideally something that can cover the low end of the sonic spectrum.. I am personally a guitarist first and foremost, a bassist occasionally, and a vocalist when I need to be - and would be happy to be flexible across guitar / bass if you’ve got an inkling for playing both! Vocals from all members would be desired as well to contribute to more of a “group” sound vs. individual singer. The mission of the group will be to write, record and perform original music. I’m 31 and have a full time career - so this is my passion & hobby on the side, but would love to be able to play both locally and regionally on weekends. I’ve got a few connections in some other cities around in the midwest, so we can work towards that after getting somewhat established locally. I’d like to aim for independent writing sessions / practice sessions at least once a week. I personally enjoy bringing riffs to the group and fleshing the songs out together, and having that collaborative type of approach to forming the songs we have. I’m motivated by many sounds - but when I picture some sounds of this project - I think of groups like Robin Trower, Grand Funk Railroad, Queens of the Stone Age, Fugazi, Black Pistol Fire, Baroness, and Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats to name a few. I’ve got gear to perform live, and would expect the same of you. With the right folks - we’d coordinate getting a practice / rehearsal space to write/rehearse.
