Spend time exploring techniques in hand building at The Brick Clay Studio & Gallery, St. James NY   https://thebrickstudio.org Working with NY State Certified Art Teachers: Julia Vogelle and Morris and Naomi Bernstain, students will work on several projects, learning ceramic slab-building, glazing, and more! They will create structures and vessels such as animal garden sculptures, wall pockets, tiles, and birdhouses, and more. Tuition $300Session #1 July 5 – 9 Monday to Friday 10 am to 1 pmSession #2 Aug. 9 – 13 Monday to Friday 10 am to 1 pm Monday: Students will learn how to form and construct tiles out of rolled coils.Tuesday: Slab method birdhouses. Students will wrap clay slabs around a tube to create cylinder birdhouses.Wednesday: Slab wall pocket. We will create fossil-like textures & join two slabs together to make a pocket.Thursday: Garden animal sculpture.
