I am a recent high school graduate going to UC Santa Cruz in the Fall and I'm in search of work and learning this summer. I like to work with people, so summer job interests include but hope they are not limited to: food & restaurants, teams doing things, working with children, and things I haven't thought of yet. Hobbies/interests include: violin, cooking, wine (yes), anthropology, film (movies). I don't know any code (I've started to learn), but I'd jump at the opportunity to work at a startup from an angle I'm able to. Experience that I could provide references for include: (1) hundreds of hours of experience working with young children at a church childcare; (2) teaching/mentoring children (up to middle school) in violin; (3) violin performance. I live in the Oakmore area of Oakland and generally don't have my own transportation, so proximity or accessibility by public transportation would be a a consideration.
