Description

Press release from the City of San Antonio: June 25, 2021 SAN ANTONIO – The ongoing influx of cats and kittens at Animal Care Services has not slowed down so the shelter is offering $5 feline adoption fees to entice would be adopters. Starting Saturday, June 26th, the community is invited to come out to the shelter to meet dozens of cats and kittens in need of families. Residents are highly encouraged to take advantage of the limited time discount to adopt a pair of cats or kittens so they can provide companionship to each other. ACS is even allowing "foster to adopt" for approved temporary pet parents who have found the "purrfect" companion that may still need a little time to grow. Adopted pets receive vaccinations, sterilization, de-worming, and a registered microchip while the ACS foster program provides complimentary food, supplies and medical care. Appointments are no longer needed to visit ACS and placement coordinators can assist families looking for specific breeds, ages or even colors. Adoption applications can be pre-printed and filled out prior to visiting but all adoptions are on a first come first-served basis. Applications and a search tool to see all the shelter's available pets can be seen at www.saacs.net. This press release was produced by the City of San Antonio.
