Description
EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — An 883-pound great white shark that was detected off the coast of New Jersey last week is now in Rhode Island waters, reported ABC6 News.
The shark, named Freya, was detected in the Ocean State on Thursday. She is eleven feet long and can travel about 150 miles a day.
Although this might cause some alarm to residents and visitors, experts say this path is normal for great white sharks this time of year.
Freya can be tracked by using OCEARCH's Shark Tracker, available here.
