American Pit puppies will be around 55 - 65 lbs possibly more (these puppies have big feet and thats a sign they will be big dogs!) When i say American Pit i mean long legs, big head, extremely intelligent. As with all pits they are hearty, heavier than they appear, and fearless. These puppies are 9 weeks old and they already follow me on hikes, they are being crate trained and potty trained as well. They have been whelped very much underfoot, and i play with them daily. I want them to be happy as well as healthy. first round of shots last week and dewormed biweekly since they opened their eyes. I have taken the whelping process very seriously and i expect greatness from these puppies. they are super friendly and wonderfully curious. These will be high energy dogs, and they will require active owners. I also recomend someone with an alpha personality be in control of them Pits can and usually will get into trouble without discipline Pits are not for amatuers! Experienced dog handlers work best with pits if you are not an experienced dog handler and you want a pit you need to be prepared to educate your self and become an alpha owner!!!
