Seeking Christian bass, vocals, and/or keyboards for hobby project

Description

I'm a Christian rhythm guitarist/songwriter, in his 50s looking for musicians to form a casual hobby band and record my original songs. I sing some lead and backing vocals, and can provide some lead guitar, keyboards and harmonica. I am not looking to form a praise, worship, or gospel band, but rather a band made up of Christian musicians to make songs with a solid message and alignment of philosophy. This could lead to a ministry not unlike Switchfoot, or Reliant K. I am into rock & roll, Christian, and pop-punk bands. My influences are bands like The Cure, The Cars, Talking Heads, Switchfoot, Relient K, Jars of Clay, Newsboys, Green Day, Oasis, Tom Petty, The Beatles, Collective Soul, The Pretenders, etc. I am already working with a drummer and a lead guitarist. I am seeking a vocalist, bass player, keyboardist. I'm seeking like-minded people who want to make music as a serious priority. I want to record, and play out. I prefer to create an ORIGINAL project based on collaborations. However, I do not mind integrating covers in the live sets. I have written dozens of songs and would also like to arrange and produce them into reality. I would also like the flexibility of playing cover tunes, but I expect that original songs will be a focus of this project. I have a practice room/studio close to LAX for practice that has a PA, drums, and I'm also in the process of building a home studio for recording in the (hopefully) near future. If you're serious about putting a band or project together....go ahead and contact me. If you have any questions or need clarifications, feel free to ask me. Look forward to hearing from you. Peace! Jimi
