Description

Hello, I am looking to put together a small country band/ combo to begin playing out. Primary focus will be around originals, but we will delve into a good amount of covers to give availability for longer sets. Looking for lead guitar, fiddle/mando, bass and drums. I am open to the right keyboard player as well. About me: I am in my 40s. I’ve been singing, playing and writing for 25 years (or so). I am competent on guitar, bass, keys and drums. In 2020 I wrote, recorded, produced and released my first solo album. I’ve already been through, figured out and gotten over the destructive lifestyle portion of my life, so I’m not interested in revisiting that 😁 (I’m not interested in dealing with crippling vices, so please have that figured out as well) About you: Ideal players will be more concerned with creating the right sound than trying to see how many notes they can cram into a single measure. I would love nothing more than having a group full of folks that can identify and sing harmonies. Lead guitar: Please be tasteful. I value melodic leads over flashy 10 times out of 10. Bass: please don’t have aspirations of being the lead guitarist. Understand and value the relationship between bass and the drums. Drums: please value simplicity, consistency and don’t take offense or be afraid of playing with a click/ metronome. Fiddle: I’m jealous of you Keyboard: You’ll probably be playing a lot of organ. We’re not gonna get rich, but we are gonna have a whole lotta fun! If you’re still reading and this peaks your interest, please message me and I will send you links to my material. (Please specify what streaming platforms you prefer). Looking forward to meeting you! -Andrew
