The Car King Automotive Family Car King Auto is a full service Auto Repair Facility, nestled within the large multi services facility of Collision King Auto Repair Center, located at 5675 W. Tidwell Rd., Houston, TX 77091. Our employees experience a family type atmosphere while still maintaining a strong professional attitude and image. We are seeking the following position to be filled by someone to come and join our big and VERY BUSY family. Car King Auto is offering a position that will be a combined Automotive General Services Technician who is also a licensed State Vehicle Inspector. State Vehicle Inspector Every great automotive repair facility who puts a strong emphasis on Customer Care will employee a trustworthy and proficient State Vehicle Inspector. This is a dual service position that will not just allow the customer to promptly have their vehicle state inspection completed, as required by state law, but also alert that customer of any red flags they should be looking at in the future, allowing them the security that they are operating their vehicle with minimal damage to their vehicle or the environment. Automotive General Services/Lube Technician These technicians are the foundation that makes our shop successful by delivering the absolute best for our valued Customers. We are investing even more into our busy shops and need the knowledgeable and motivated General Services Technicians to grow with us. State Vehicle Inspector/General Services Technician must be able to have in order to be employed at Car King Auto: • A current and valid driver's license • A current and valid State Inspector's license • Experience with minor mechanic work such as oil changes, tire change, etc. • Clean history, and excellent track record, drive ability experience • Excellent work ethics. Communication skills, people attitude, organized, prompt, etc. State Vehicle Inspector/General Services Technician must be able to perform the following tasks: • Perform Vehicle State Inspections in a prompt, yet thorough manner • Keep pristine records of all inspections performed • Perform oil changes • Perform tire repair, include flat repair, balance, mount and dismount • Perform fluid changes • Perform and service basic to moderate preventative maintenance checks and tasks • Brake repair knowledge is a plus • Assist with general maintenance and cleanliness of shops • Occasionally run parts pickups and errands expeditiously • Inspect and identify safety and repair issues. • Assist in maintaining a clean shop environment. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $10.00 - $17.00 per hour We will assist in training for advancement opportunities and certifications.
