Description: Old Oaks Estates mobile home community, located in Elgin, IL, is searching for a full-time Maintenance Technician. This position performs routine and preventative maintenance designed to ensure the physical integrity of Zeman Homes community. In addition to the compensation package, we offer the following benefits: • Potential performance bonus up to 20% • Participation in the medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and health savings account after 60 days of service • Participation in the 401-(k) savings plan • Company paid holidays • Paid time off Essential Job Duties: • Inspects and completes routine maintenance and minor repairs to facilities, streets, and vehicles. • Ensures the common lawn areas are manicured appropriately. Regularly remove weeds, and rake leaves. Plant flowers/shrubs, spread mulch/woodchips and stones. Trim shrubs and hedges, and perform other lawn care services as necessary. • Ensures the community is presentable and inviting at all times and that it adheres to Zeman’s Community Appearance standards. • Cleans and maintains the community building, such as clubhouse, community offices, restrooms, laundry areas, and maintenance garage. Maintains vacant sites. • Rehabs and maintains used and leased homes. • Performs various plumbing tasks. Performs water testing and other maintenance duties related to a well-water system. • Removes snow from community streets, parking lots, building entrances. Requirements: • Previous grounds and maintenance experience preferred. • Ability to endure seasonal temperatures as working conditions requires constant outdoor work. • Valid driver’s license and good driving record. • General knowledge of janitorial work, plumbing, electrical, and grounds maintenance. • Proficient skills in operating various hand tools, power equipment. • Ability to walk, climb, stand, sit, and lift to 50 pounds. • Ability to provide legible written reports. • Prior snow removal experience preferred. • Availability to respond to community needs during non-business hours. • Excellent customer service skills.
