We are actively seeking a Building and Grounds Worker for a client located near Highland Falls, NY. This is a maintenance/repair job - not cleaning! The Building and Grounds Worker will be performing a variety of skilled work to assist with the daily maintenance, such as carpentry, painting, repairs, basic plumbing and electrical work, and preventative maintenance, throughout the facility. More specific job duties include: • Cleaning, raking and collecting debris from community grounds, breezeways, vacant units and common areas. • Removing snow and applying salt in inclement weather • Performing daily inspections of building exteriors and lighting; reporting any required repairs or issues to the maintenance supervisor in a timely manner In order to be successful, the Building and Grounds Worker must: • Have knowledge of trades related to building maintenance and repair • Be able to communicate effectively and work independently to accomplish a large amount of tasks • Have knowledge of safety hazards and precautions • Have HS Diploma or equivalent, • Clean and valid driver’s license The Building and Grounds Worker must be able to lift 50lbs, stand on their feet for long periods, have good manual dexterity and strong attention to detail. This is a temporary, 3 month position, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm. Pay rate is $20 per hour.
