POSITION SUMMARY: Maintain and improve overall inventory control of stock room. Track spare and replacement parts. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Responsible for maintaining and ensuring inventory of machine parts is stocked and accurate with all essential equipment to sustain production schedules. • Maintain inventory by updating the Mechanics Chemical Control Register & Log • Stock items by unpacking, arranging and placing in bins and shelves according to inventory. • Maintain parts room housekeeping ensuring it is clean and organized at all times. • Monthly ladder inspections including ensuring labels are readable and steps are not damaged in order to avoid potential slip and fall hazards. • Assist mechanics by delivering parts and packages that are in need. • Assist vendors when arriving. • Performs other related duties as assigned by management. • Maintain parts inventory using Microsoft Excel QUALIFICATIONS: • At least two (2) years experience required • Must be able to drive a forklift and pallet jack • Better than average computer skills • Must be detail oriented • Strong organization skills • Commitment to excellence and high standards COMPETENCIES: • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment • Attendance/Punctuality--Is consistently at work and on time; Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent • Initiative--Volunteers readily; Undertakes self-development activities; Seeks increased responsibilities; • Takes independent actions and calculated risks; Asks for and offers help when needed. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: • Required to lift/push/carry at least 50 pounds
