Description
I have a 14 month old neutered male Great Pyrenees / Labrador mix needing to be rehomed. My son named him Hank. We’ve have him since he was a puppy, but with the pandemic, he’s developed severe separation anxiety and some other strange anxiety issues. He needs a home with someone who has the time to work with him A LOT or pay a trainer. Unfortunately, having a small child at home, we do not have the time or money to do so.
This dog is super sweet, AMAZING with small children (my 3-year-old can climb on him and he doesn’t flinch), and he is capable of learning commands as he’s very food-motivated.
He does bark quite a lot as a part of his anxiety. And he has a loud, big dog bark. He is 90lbs. He will NOT be a good fit for you if you live in an apartment.
He gets along well with other dogs. I think he would do well in a home with one other dog. He can get food aggressive (towards other dogs) but we always crate him while he eats.
He is definitely not a beginner dog. He needs work. We’re heartbroken to admit that we just don’t have the time to devote to him while also having a young child.
