We immediately seek positively inspired, health and wellness, physically active, outdoor enthusiasts to join in on the fun. Our company cares for trees and landscapes primarily in Kula, is fully insured, and is focused on quality, safety, and aloha in all we do. We generally start around 8am-9am, when the weather is ideal and see Maui from a perspective only few experience. ***General Ground Crew Techs- $17.50 and up; increases based on performance and experience.*** Duties Include: ***Ground Crew Technicians*** - With trees: Protect work zone, collect debris, and deliver to chipper/disposal area. All with technique and finesse. - Protect work space to ensure safety of team, property and public. Be a "spotter." - Communicate effectively with climbers, ground crew, and public to maintain a safe work environment. - Operate machinery inclusive of: Chainsaws, hedgers, blowers. - Operate rigging ropes to safely lower debris to ground. - Use hand saws and pole saws to prune trees from the ground. - Operate and drag debris to woodchipper. - With landscaping: Primarily weed eating, hand weeding and removal of invasive shrubs and small trees, roots and all. Must: - Be punctual in arrival times to projects. - Have reliable, independent transportation to and from work. - Be an excellent communicator and have a personal cell phone - Be physically able to stand on feet for 2 hours at a time - Have the ability to lift at least 25 pounds - Be safety oriented and have a sense of work space awareness.
