Pejepscot History Center's popular Summer Walking Tour series - Lincoln Street, Brunswick Maine, led by Shannon Gilmore. For years, Pejepscot History Center walking tours have offered stories of the past, perspective on the landscape, social time, and exercise to participants. Lincoln Street, led by PHC President, Shannon Gilmore. In this updated tour, discover more about the street named for Dr. Lincoln, PHC's headquarters in the 1970s, and where some say that Maine’s local food movement got its start! Not to mention a wide array of other stories in between. Please note that this tour begins at the corner of Lincoln and Maine Streets. Participants meet at starting point. Please check-in with tour leader at least 10 minutes prior to tour time. Space is limited. PHC maintains a waiting list for each tour in case of cancellations. Most tours are 75-90 minutes, though tours outside of downtown may go slightly longer. Pejepscot History Center is a non-profit, educational organization charged with preserving the collective heritage of Brunswick, Harpswell, and Topsham. The Society owns and operates the Joshua L. Chamberlain House Museum and the Skolfield-Whittier House, both of which are open to the public Memorial Day-Columbus Day.
