Painting studio specialized in decorative finishes and interior painting is hiring a skilled painter with minimum 2 years experience in high-end residential job sites. Responsibilities: -make on-site preparations, floor and furniture protection, covering fixtures etc -prepare walls, trims, windows, doors for painting -paint/plaster surfaces with waterbased and oil paints -sand and compound surfaces for Level 3 to Level 5 Skills: -proven experience as painter -excellent knowledge of painting and plastering techniques -experience using various painting and power tools -wood and wall preparations (caulking, wood filler, sand, prime, paint) -patience working with decorative plasters(sand, polish, seal) -trowel experience a plus -osha40 or we sponsor the right person to get it -right and positive attitude is a must -quick learner of new plaster finishes Most jobs are in the city but we also have travel jobs so a willingness to travel is a plus. We are also considering teaching the right person but must have basic knowledge of painting and an eagerness of learning. Pay starts at $25/h plus bonuses of meeting deadlines.
