Community Center Plans Presentation- Land Dedication Ceremony
As a stake holder in our community, we are inviting you to the Land Dedication Ceremony, Commemorating the 174th Liberian Independence and Presentation of our plans to develop a Community Center.
In 2019, The Liberian Community joined hands and purchased a 1-acre land on the East side of Columbus to develop a community center. This location on the East side of Columbus is referred to as “an asset-less desert” of health and mental care services; quality housing; community center; and high crime. LICI purport
building a community center as an opportunity for Liberian youth to be successful and have a positive impact on the future of Central Ohio. The mission of the center is to empower Liberians in Central Ohio and the greater community through optimal health services, centered around socio-cultural and economic growth. We are actively seeking community partners and donors to make this dream a reality.
Overarching purpose of the center to provide services to benefit members and the Columbus community. We will initiate youth projects to provide our community youth with safe and supportive environment that encourages positive interaction and growth. Our elderly services will provide supportive assistance and recreation.
