Bourbon, Beer & Bubbles week at Vine & Table...
We are confident in our love for champagne, but how confident are you when it comes to picking out the best champagne? Is it a high price tag that signifies that the bottle you are about to buy is top quality? Or is it an iconic name of a well-known champagne house on the label that assures you that what you’re buying is something you will like? How about none of the above?
Vine & Table is teaming up with Skurnik Wines to give you the inside scoop on some of the best champagnes in the world and why you should be drinking them. Grower champagnes, or "Farmer Fizz" as they are called, are wines that reflect the beauty of the soils of their home turf and the intervention of fantastic wine-makers. They are wines with price tags that reflect the effort put into the bottle and the quality juice you are getting, not the cost of major marketing campaigns to promote said bottle. They are small scale, wonderfully crafted, and off the beaten path.
Ross Lampkins of Skurnik Wines and Spirits has worked in the wine industry for 11 years and has a passion for well-balanced, terroir driven wines. Champagne, in his opinion (and ours) is one of the best beverages to be consumed. Ross loves talking about and drinking grower champagne almost as much as he loves his own family, which is why we are excited to have Ross lead a seminar on it on June 30 at 6:30. We hope you will join us to learn about grower champagne and to taste for yourself the incredible quality of these bubbles!
This is a limited seating event, if you reserve and cannot attend, please cancel your reservation so another enthusiast can have the opportunity.
