Sustainable Spirits is a casual social gathering for the sustainability community. It's free, unstructured and open to anyone. The North Carolina Composting Council invites you toSustainable Spirits on Thursday, July 22nd at 6pmSustainable Spirits is a fun social gathering for everyone interested in anything from renewable energy and civic engagement to green building, organic farming, and beyond!  It's free, unstructured and open to everyone. This month's theme is  Bring Your Own Brew!   Whether you brew coffee, tea, or beer, bring a jug, carafe, barrel or bottle of your best stuff. You can bring just enough for yourself or some to share.  Bring your own mug for sampling other people's creations.  There are handy restaurants and pubs across the parking lot if you'd rather buy something. We're hosted this month by Raleigh City Farm, 800 N Blount Street, Raleigh, where we can tour the farm, buy some veggies, or just feast on the rural vibes right in the heart of Raleigh. The Council is a non-profit dedicated to the development, expansion, and promotion of composting based upon sound science, principles of sustainability, and economic viability. It will achieve its mission by: encouraging and guiding research, promoting best composting practices, establishing standards, educating professionals and the public, and enhancing product quality and markets.
