Howdy! Name's Skylar. It's lovely to meetcha! I'm the frontwoman, lead vocalist, and bassist of an up-and-coming queer punk band called Atomic Broad. Our general style is punk rock that's heavily influenced by genres like blues, folk, and heavy metal, among other things. Some really big influences include bands like Against Me!, the Dog Park Dissidents, Propaghandi, Rise Against, Metallica, The Devouring Mothers, Green Day, and many other bands! We already have material written, though we're still writing music. We also plan to play shows in the very near future! We're looking for a lead guitarist! You'd be playing normal rhythm guitar stuff for most songs, but there's a ton of lead guitar parts, guitar solos, etc. Bonus points if you can do backing vocals as well! Though I'm the primary songwriter of the band, songwriters are also more than welcome! Ideally, you'd be within 30 minutes or so of New Orleans and have your own gear (though I can lend gear occasionally!). I can provide transportation, but it's pretty necessary that you have your own transportation as well! Lastly, know that this is a punk band. If you're a fascist, homophobe, xenophobe, transphobe, bigot, or otherwise, fuck off. We don't take kindly to those people.
