Description
We adopted Johnny (an 11 months old Husky) from a person who was leaving the country.
He is in great physical condition and its a really friendly dog. He is good with all kinds of people, kids, and other animals
During this time we encounter one major personal issue, as mentioned the dog is very friendly and get overly excited when seeing people, and he does a lot of jumping and pushing when saying hello. This situation has intimidated my mom (who is 72 years old) as she feels that he is too rough for her.
I am really sad that they cannot get along, Johnny is a very sweet dog that is just too young to understand that he is too strong for some people. I am trying to train him and help him improve on this behavior but I am new pet owner and I feel that I am not really making good progress.
He is trained in many other regards: potty trained, sleeps in his crate, understands: sit, down, come, stay, up and gives lots of high-fives. I really hope that we can find a new family for him.
