Looking for a bass player and drummer/percussionist. I'm a 56 year old male musician who still likes to write and record original music. I also dabble in covers with a different perspective. I'm not looking to play out too much. I'm not looking to make money. I'm just looking to have some creative fun with other musicians that live close by. I mainly play rhythm guitar with a bit of a twang to it. I can sing, play harmonica. I can also play drums with my feet.. How good? I don't know. I played out like that for a few years this past decade and people were kind enough to listen and applaud from time to time. I grew up listening to the music being played on local Chicago radio. I'm big XRT fan. I love the Beatles. In the 80's I was a big Violent Femmes and Talking Heads fan and loved the underground circuit at that time. I was also a big fan of Tom Waits and other avant-garde artists that could make a great song out of a tin can, a chicken bone and a rubber band. I also love doing home recordings. I can go on and on. Just looking for a couple of dudes or females, or whatever, who love playing and being creative to keep the brain working while we live out our final decades on this rock. Drummer: prefer a minimalist, maybe a simple 3 piece, a creative different set would be totally acceptable. Bass player could be electric, acoustic, stand up or whatever. If you could sing and write, that would be great. I'm thinking acoustic/low-fi like Pixies, Femmes, The Strokes, Avett Bros., 1954-1956 Elvis, Velvet Underground, Ween, Neil Young, Tom Waits feel with a side of Rockabilly. Nothing too loud but somewhat energetic for good blood circulation. Here's some stuff I recorded last year. https://soundcloud.com/user-18802418/sets/summer-2020
