DALLAS, TX —According to a new survey from SafeWise, gun sales continue to surge in Texas, with the FBI reporting nearly 1 million firearm background checks performed in the state so far in 2021.
At the same time, the study shows that some 61% of Texans worry about gun violence daily.
The survey, dubbed SafeWise's State of Safety in America in 2021, asked more than 5,000 Americans about their perceptions of crime and safety, and found that Texas is the 2nd most concerned state in the country when it comes to gun violence.

Here are a few additional revelations about Texas from the survey:
