AUSTIN, TX—Farmshare Austin, a nonprofit whose mission is to grow a healthy local food community by increasing food access, teaching new farmers, and preserving new farmland, invite the community to their 2nd Annual Tomato Season Celebration! Scheduled Saturday, June 26 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m., you'll be able to pre-order your 5 lb. box of organic, vine ripened tomatoes to pick up from Farmshare and sign up for a farm tour. In addition to homegrown tomatoes, enjoy a Farm Stand featuring beautiful Farmshare veggies, hands-on activities, and a chance to ask a farmer all your veggie gardening questions! Proceeds from the event will help Farmshare's goal of working toward growing the next generation of Central Texas farmers and increase community food access.
