Press release from the City of Wheaton: June 24, 2021 Team Frosted Donuts is back! The Wheaton Police Department's Polar Plunge team has returned with a warm-weather challenge to support Special Olympics Illinois. From now through June 26, the Wheaton community is invited to help the Wheaton Police Department support Special Olympics Illinois with a run that can take place wherever you choose. Members of the Frosted Donuts team ran 2 miles as part of the Virtual Torch Run on June 23 to raise funds for Special Olympics Illinois. To show your support, you can join the team in running remotely and posting a photo on social media of your run along with the hashtag #IRunforDonuts.   "Team Frosted Donuts jumped at the chance to continue supporting Special Olympics Illinois," said Community Engagement Officer Crystal Miroballi. "We were thrilled with the generous support that Special Olympics Illinois received from our community through the Polar Plunge, and so we'd like to extend this opportunity to our community to join us in supporting the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Illinois."   You can track the team's progress toward its fundraising goal on the team's web page.   Additional Info...
