Bu Jon DePaolis, Richard Free Press: ORLAND PARK, Ill. — An open house concerning the development of the Main Street Triangle property has been scheduled by the Village of Orland Park for 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 29. Edwards Realty Company, the company selected by the Village to develop the downtown property, is to present its plans and take input from the public during the event, which is to be held at the Orland Park Civic Center, 14750 S. Ravinia Ave. The open house also will be livestreamed on the Village's YouTube channel. "Engaging the community is a vital step in the process to create a mixed-use development that will be an Orland Park destination for all," stated Orland Park Mayor Keith Pekau in a press release regarding the open house. "We look forward to the residents of Orland Park contributing to the future of this area where residents and visitors will have greater access to premium retail, entertainment and dining opportunities." The downtown district is located around 143rd Street and LaGrange Road. "We look forward to the opportunity to share our plans for downtown Orland Park," stated Ramzi Hassan, president of Edwards Realty Company, in the press release. "Taking into consideration extensive feedback we have received from the community, our approach will greatly enhance the experience for visitors, residents and businesses in Orland Park.
