Everyone with any brains in their small town moves to the cities leaving just the truly stupid behind. They sit around their run down houses getting drunk and complaining about how much better things used to be. They're angry they can't compete in the modern world. They're mad and will lash out at anything and anyone. Which is why they rally behind a complete idiot who was known as the biggest troll on the internet before he ran for President. He's not an idea man. He's a guy who just attacks everyone else's ideas while offering none of his own. In other words, he's just like the stupid rural hicks. That he hates black people is just an added bonus for them.
